Alma Martinez Intermediate School

The new Alma Martinez Intermediate School will be a unique intermediate school design for Mansfield ISD. The design incorporates STEM spaces and a Fine Arts Academy within the traditional neighborhood school setting. It will accommodate up to 1,200 students.

The neighborhood will also be the location for a new elementary school, which will be built across the street. In planning the site layout, it was important to analyze the elementary and intermediate sites together and consider traffic flow and closeness of the two schools.

The new Alma Martinez Intermediate School will be an inviting environment for all. The school’s two-story design and floor plan will provide more open learning, and large window walls will flood the school with natural daylight. A combination of warm materials, playful colors, collaboration spaces and informal gathering areas will create a vibrant educational building.
