Justin has a background in communications, public affairs and public relations with a focus on education. He joins Huckabee from a fast-growing public school district where he supported the development of the district strategic plan, led the communication strategy for the largest bond referendum in the district’s history, and developed strategies to engage with lawmakers on issues that impact public schools.

In his role as Client Communications Director at Huckabee, Justin continues to support education by working alongside school districts to help communicate complex issues to all stakeholders and build a continuous pipeline for community engagement. As a lifelong public-school advocate, he is dedicated to the success of all students in all aspects of his work, and he brings this passion to our clients, projects and communities.

Andrew Ulmen

Since joining the firm in 2003, Andrew has been involved in numerous community college and K-12 projects as a designer, project manager, project director on the program / construction management side and now office director. He came to the firm with a large portfolio of educational work and has dedicated his career to the success of students through the design of safe, quality learning environments. His recent experience includes guiding the Los Alamitos Unified School District through a $163 million Measure ‘K’ bond program which focused on modernization. Today, he provides leadership to the firm as Office Director and serves as a trusted advisor for our clients to ensure quality delivery in all aspects of design and project management.

Andrew obtained his Bachelor of Environmental Design and his Bachelor of Architecture from North Dakota State University. His personal passion is cycling and frequently seeks out century rides and Ultra Endurance mountain bike races.

Phyllis Grissom

Phyllis’ background is rooted in volunteerism and community leadership. She has served on school district long-range planning committees, superintendent round table committees and district improvement committees. Her engagement also includes two decades in the Fraternity and Sorority Political Action Committee, the City of Fort Worth Library Advisory Board, numerous Parent Teacher Organizations and her local Council of PTAs.

As Director of Fort Worth and a Principal, Brian is as well known for his technical approach and ability to problem solve, as he is as a mentor and champion for the Huckabee culture, clients and people.

Notably, she also leads the ACE Mentor Program in Fort Worth, an organization that supports high school students in their pursuit of architecture, engineering and construction fields.
