He is a storm shelter subject matter expert, chairs the National Storm Shelter Association’s Design Practices Committee, and worked with the ICC 500 committee on the 2020 edition. He chairs the AIA Dallas Codes & Standards Committee and is a member of the AIA National Codes & Standards and ICC A117.1 committees.
