Amy is a registered interior designer with experience in architecture, design, and construction management across the education, healthcare, and commercial sectors. As an Associate Principal at Huckabee, she provides high-level guidance for our project teams from proposal to finish-out, ensuring everything runs smoothly, everyone has what they need, and deliverables get where they need to go on time.
Amy values the stewardship and longevity of education design. For her, bringing brightness and beauty to the built environment through color, material, and sunlight helps mood and physicality. Her designs balance energy with sensitivity to different learning modes and the diversity of students that benefit from them.
Amy believes the best leaders engage other leaders. Understanding that multiple perspectives shape great teams and yield great work, she encourages the open expression of opinion, as well as contradictions in opinion. She is a member of the International Interior Design Association and the Texas Association of Interior Designers. In her free time, she volunteers with Austin Tree Folks, an organization that cultivates trees and plants them throughout the city.
