Jeremy Bartz

Jeremy is the senior executive director of MOREgroup’s healthcare practice and the executive director of our Southeast region. With over two decades of experience in healthcare and health science industries, he’s a vital voice in shaping how MOREgroup approaches healthcare, and a facilitator of growth and collaboration among all of MOREgroup’s practice areas. Though designers come together out of a shared passion for the built environment, he believes the profession is really about people and the communities we serve—connecting with them, aligning them with opportunities, and designing to their individual needs. In the realm of healthcare, he’s an advocate for personalized health, moving away from care based on statistics and toward models that account for the whole biological person.  

Jeremy’s leadership is rooted in service. He stays present with his teams, directing the work and living it with them.  In his free time, he enjoys mountain biking with friends, running with his wife, and spending time with family. Jeremy also volunteers at his community church, where he helps with youth services. 

Erica Bish

Erica is MOREgroup’s senior executive director of public architecture and the executive director of our West region. For nearly a decade and a half, she has displayed passion and talent for public architecture, working with communities, understanding their needs, and generating lasting impact. Now, she’s both the voice of MOREgroup’s public practice and a partner in bridging expertise between public architecture, education, and healthcare. With a keen understanding of the way trends in one practice area forecast opportunities in another, she’s fostering development, communication, and collaboration across them all. 

Open communication is integral to Erica’s leadership. She believes every team member has a voice, valuable thoughts, and worthwhile opinions. Among a communicative team, she knows there’s talent and wisdom, and within that talent and wisdom, success to be won, and excellence to be achieved. 

For over a decade Erica was involved in CSI, the Construction Specifications Institute, which brings the A/E/C community together to set standards for how the industry writes specifications. She has also given her time to local outreach programs, Metrocon, and AIA’s Committee on the Environment. 

Scotty Denney

Scotty brings over 15 years of experience in the industry to the team. As a designer, He draws inspiration from various markets and disciplines to create the best solutions for our clients. Scotty will facilitate a design process that focuses on the exploration of the community’s vision and the manifestation of that vision through the built environment. He will guide discussions that strategically move through all aspects of a building, from the site and floor plan to building systems, materials, structural elements and design features that uniquely represent the client.

Ashad Satchu

Aaron Lindsey

Julie Williams

Julie has over 33 years of experience in the planning and design of all types of educational facilities. As a former facilities planning director working with multiple school districts, Julie has a deep understanding of what our clients need and expect through out the planning and design process. As a planner, Julie works with all stakeholders to explore and define client goals, develop a program and set a project up for long-term success.

Lauren Yonker

Lauren guides clients to identity their facility needs and find creative solutions to programming challenges. With a background in interior design, Lauren knows the importance of well-planned environments that support student engagement and flexible use. She takes an analytical, purposeful approach to help clients pinpoint ways to improve their students’ experiences. An organized and friendly team member, Lauren likes to think outside of the box to create exciting, student-centered solutions.

Justin has a background in communications, public affairs and public relations with a focus on education. He joins Huckabee from a fast-growing public school district where he supported the development of the district strategic plan, led the communication strategy for the largest bond referendum in the district’s history, and developed strategies to engage with lawmakers on issues that impact public schools.

In his role as Client Communications Director at Huckabee, Justin continues to support education by working alongside school districts to help communicate complex issues to all stakeholders and build a continuous pipeline for community engagement. As a lifelong public-school advocate, he is dedicated to the success of all students in all aspects of his work, and he brings this passion to our clients, projects and communities.

Traci Marlin

Traci has two decades of communication expertise in public education, with a focus on strategic planning and community engagement. With a talent for impactful visual communications and versatile writing, she drives effective messaging for complex issues. Traci’s commitment to “informed engagement” involves comprehensive public relations planning with tailored strategies for each community’s unique audiences, needs and circumstances. Her proactive approach of educating and activating community members has fueled successful, award-winning bond programs. As a Texas public school graduate, wife of a teacher, mother of students, voter, donor, volunteer and trusted advisor, Traci is unwaveringly dedicated to making a meaningful impact in public education.

Kim Sneed

Kim has over 18 years of experience in school district communications. She has led internal and external communication efforts, social media, website design and development, crisis communication, marketing, and campaigns. Kim uses her vast experience in public education to find innovative ways to market and communicate to client communities that blend in with existing district communications strategies. She is focused on shining the spotlight on the great stories that emerge from classrooms and providing quality information to staff, parents, students, and the community built on trust and transparency.

Arena Blake

A former journalist and school district communications director, Arena has spent the last 15 years utilizing online trends and technology to build and engage digital communities through customized content, including websites, video and social media. She helps school districts implement a strategic communications plan to tell their story and drive community engagement through comprehensive public relations campaigns. Arena uses her unique perspective, having successfully passed bonds working as part of a school district and with Huckabee, to understand and meet the needs of each client through responsive, thoughtful and intentional solutions.

Phyllis Grissom

Phyllis facilitates a comprehensive planning process that engages district stakeholders and volunteers in the prioritization of projects that often result in a bond program. She leads groups with an honest and direct approach, positive encouragement and the confidence of more than 20 years of experience in community engagement. Phyllis’ background is rooted in volunteerism and community leadership. She has served on school district long-range planning committees, superintendent round table committees and district improvement committees. Her engagement also includes two decades in the Fraternity and Sorority Political Action Committee, the City of Fort Worth Library Advisory Board, numerous Parent Teacher Organizations and her local Council of PTAs.

Lesley Weaver

As a former teacher and school district communications director, Lesley uses her 20-plus years of professional experience to help guide clients through branding, strategy and community engagement. She fully understands the challenges that educators face and she uses this perspective to thoughtfully plan and execute comprehensive public relations campaigns. Lesley is known as an expert in the field of school communications, and clients say she demonstrates Huckabee’s “more than” attitude by always being responsive, personable and strategic.

Dr. Jim Vaszauskas

With in-depth expertise in client service and educational design, Jim provides guidance and mentorship to the Huckabee team. Jim served as a superintendent and district administrator in Mansfield ISD for over a decade and brings unique understanding to his current role. He is available as a resource to our clients—supporting advocacy efforts for public education and offering guidance in strategic planning, academic planning and leadership.

Holly Teague

Holly is a resource for our clients; she specializes in curriculum development and programming. She is a former educator, Assistant Principal and Principal and served in these roles for nearly 20 years before moving into administration. Holly works in collaboration with school districts and our project teams to help plan for and evaluate instructional programs and how they are represented in design. She brings a unique perspective that is wholly focused on the educator.

Marty Massey

Marty provides leadership to our firm as the Sr. Executive Director of Construction. He has a hand in every project at Huckabee—overseeing our construction team members and ensuring quality delivery at all levels. With nearly four decades of industry experience across Texas, Marty understands that every region is unique. He is a champion for continual improvement and a firm believer that people are at the core of everything we do. 

Suzanne Marchman

Suzanne has extensive experience working in and for public education at the state and local levels. She spent nearly 10 years as a high school teacher, worked in communications at the Texas Education Agency (TEA), directed communications for the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA) and served as the Chief Communications Officer for a fast-growth school district. Suzanne joined Huckabee in 2018 and today serves as our Director of Educational Partnerships. In this role, she focuses on the development of partnerships, research and positive legislative outcomes with the goal of strengthening Texas public schools.

Luke Powell

Luke is well versed in project planning, design, documentation and administration. For nearly 20 years, he has overseen initiatives related to design, code compliance, client satisfaction and strategic growth. Luke is known for his commitment to due diligence and his meticulous, process-driven approach to project management. With experience in commercial, residential and interior design, Luke understands the need to build spaces that create community and maximize functionality. 

Brendon Hoffman

Brendon is the executive director for MOREgroup’s South Texas region. With a decade of architectural experience in education and half a decade in healthcare, he promotes growth, develops strategy, and facilitates collaboration across MOREgroup’s practice areas. Throughout his career, client service has been at the top of his priorities. Cultivating relationships with clients, witnessing their success, and growing with them are among his greatest fulfillments. Whether it’s about how they operate their buildings or how to eliminate learning loss through design, he thrives when thinking critically with his clients. 

As a leader, Brendon believes in growing others. By trusting his teammates to lead important tasks, he elevates them to reach their full potential. Under this approach, he has grown the Houston office substantially and continues to grow MOREgroup as a whole. He believes in partnering with his team and surrounding himself with the best so everyone can go further together. 

Brendon enjoys teaching students and coaching clients in leadership when they visit the Houston office. Brendon is also a board member for A4LE, which brings together school districts and the people who serve them to enrich the learning environment. 

Darrick Jahn

Darrick has served educational clients for more than 20 years, providing expertise in interior design for a variety of academic, workforce development and athletic facilities. He leads Huckabee’s interior design team, providing mentorship, development and best practices around the comprehensive interior design of a project. Darrick also works closely with school districts and design teams to create spaces that foster connectivity, that encourage engagement and that represent campus and district culture.
