As Huckabee’s Director of Construction Services Administration, Stephanie oversees the timely and accurate submission of all documentation related to AIA, change orders, permitting, regulatory services, bidding, and more. She brings a decade of construction industry experience to the role, as well as a gift for deep, detailed research. Stephanie leads her team not from above, but by working alongside them. In keeping with Huckabee’s philosophy, she runs toward problems when they arise, tackling them head on with grace and kindness, until the team arrives at a solution. Through her work, she finds fulfillment in contributing to the construction of safe havens for students—stable and secure educational spaces where they can learn and be themselves.
Aaron brings over 20 years of experience in the industry to the team. As a designer, he draws inspiration from various markets and disciplines to create the best solutions for our clients. Aaron will facilitate a design process that focuses on the exploration of the community’s vision and the manifestation of that vision through the built environment. He will guide discussions that strategically move through all aspects of a building, from the site and floor plan to building systems, materials, structural elements and design features that uniquely represent the client.
A former journalist and school district communications director, Arena has spent the last 15 years utilizing online trends and technology to build and engage digital communities through customized content, including websites, video and social media. She helps school districts implement a strategic communications plan to tell their story and drive community engagement through comprehensive public relations campaigns. Arena uses her unique perspective, having successfully passed bonds working as part of a school district and with Huckabee, to understand and meet the needs of each client through responsive, thoughtful and intentional solutions.
Phyllis facilitates a comprehensive planning process that engages district stakeholders and volunteers in the prioritization of projects that often result in a bond program. She leads groups with an honest and direct approach, positive encouragement and the confidence of more than 20 years of experience in community engagement. Phyllis’ background is rooted in volunteerism and community leadership. She has served on school district long-range planning committees, superintendent round table committees and district improvement committees. Her engagement also includes two decades in the Fraternity and Sorority Political Action Committee, the City of Fort Worth Library Advisory Board, numerous Parent Teacher Organizations and her local Council of PTAs.
Brian has dedicated his career to educational architecture. For the last 16 years, he’s contributed to and led projects that serve a range of student needs—from academic facilities to specialized buildings that support fine arts, athletics and administrative functions. He feels strongly that he can have a positive impact on students, and therefore our future, through his work. As Director of Fort Worth and a Principal, Brian is as well known for his technical approach and ability to problem solve, as he is as a mentor and champion for the Huckabee culture, clients and people.
With over a decade of experience and an affinity for renovation work, Joshua has served school systems across Texas—providing project leadership for early education and K-12 facilities. As a Principal, Joshua is known for his discipline, responsibility and focus. He pours himself into a project, making sure his clients are heard and while providing consistent guidance throughout. As a result, Joshua has contributed to a number of award-winning projects that meet the unique needs of the communities he serves.
Corrie is a forward-thinking problem solver who partners with our clients to turn project ideas into realities. She has worked in the education industry for the entirety of her career and looks forward to serving schools and their students every day. Corrie excels at seamlessly managing multiple tasks and priorities. She enjoys learning, exploring trends (especially in technology in architecture) and sharing expertise; her publications and presentations are a testament to her commitment to thought leadership.
Aubrey has been a part of the Huckabee team for over 15 years. With a career devoted entirely to educational design, she is acutely attuned to client priorities and passionate about a design’s ability to enhance the user experience and inspire learning. Aubrey poses a logical, thorough and detailed approach that keeps her projects on budget and on schedule. Organized and meticulous, Aubrey seamlessly integrates stakeholder input and her expertise into projects, ensuring precision and client satisfaction.
Casey has built his career at Huckabee. Over the past 20 years, he’s worked on more than 300 projects for our clients, from small renovations to state-of-the-art performing arts centers to academic campuses and athletic facilities. He brings boundless enthusiasm and ingenuity to each project, combined with a wealth of expertise in learning environments that inspire students and teachers alike. As Senior Designer he leads charrettes and guides clients through our MAKE design process—a collaborative effort focused on your needs, goals and aspirations for the project.
