HALLSVILLE ISD

West Elementary School
Hallsville ISD’s new K-4 elementary school builds upon the district’s existing standards while incorporating a more flexible model for future-ready learning. The site is heavily treed, and the school rests within the pines to provide unobstructed views into nature. Inside, the library is situated at the front of the building and features pockets for reading, flexible furniture, a maker space and a digital projection pod for instruction. The gymnatorium is equipped with retractable bleachers, movable partitions and a stage, allowing it to be used for multiple events and assemblies. Each of the classroom wings feature flex rooms, collaboration space and resource rooms near the core. Environmental graphics emphasize the district’s “Bobcat Pride” while giving the school a unique identity.
