SHELDON ISD
Panther Stadium
Sheldon ISD’s new district stadium has a capacity of 10,000 spectators. Amenities include a state-of-the-art press box, the Panther Den half-time facility, and a large multi-media display. Sheldon and Huckabee designed the stadium to be versatile, allowing for use by the community for special events. A large community room is situated in the half-time facility and features an expansive view of the field from the endzone.
The stadium fits into the master plan of the high school campus, which also includes a multi-purpose athletic center, competition gymnasium, competition track and a baseball / softball complex. Modern arches mark the entrance to the stadium and are set along a large promenade that connects to the high school. Panther Stadium is located prominently on the site and plays a key role in creating a sense of place for Sheldon ISD students and community members.
