New Elementary School
Cleveland ISD is the fastest-growing school district in the state of Texas; the district recently partnered with Huckabee and LAN to deliver projects from CISD’s 2019 bond program. CISD’s new elementary school will be located in a rapidly growing area of the district and will accommodate the rising student population. The school will serve nearly 1,000 students and will be completed on an accelerated schedule.
The building’s two-story layout is organized and efficient. An entry with a secure vestibule supports district safety goals. The core of the building features a high-volume library and cafeteria space with a two-story academic wing located adjacent to the core. Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students will be located on the first floor, with the remaining grades on the second floor. The central location of the library and cafeteria allows easy access for all grade levels. The music room is located across from the cafeteria stage, providing assembly space for performing arts students.
The building’s exterior design incorporates brick colors and patterns with a sloping metal roof. The school’s entrance is welcoming for students, teachers and visitors.
