With nearly four decades of industry experience across Texas, Marty understands that every region is unique. He is a champion for continual improvement and a firm believer that people are at the core of everything we do. 

Paul Thompson

Paul has more than two decades of experience in architectural design. He has been with Huckabee since 2014 and has a proven track record of excellence in client service. Paul has worked on many of Huckabee’s most complex projects; his ability to see the big picture complements his technical mindset. There is not a problem that Paul can’t solve through his extensive knowledge-base or collective wisdom with his team.
As Vice President of Operations, Paul is innovative, resilient and considerate, and he is held in high regard by his team and those he serves. In his role, Paul provides leadership to the firm’s project practice team, focusing on quality, delivery, mentorship, growth and opportunity.

Daren Kirbo

Konrad Judd

His philosophy is based on the belief that design should be holistic, human-centric and evidence-based in its execution. Konrad instills this approach in everything he touches, fostering innovation, collaboration and intention with clients and with his team.

Josh Brown

Josh has provided 20 years of leadership and innovation to Huckabee, helping position the firm as a trailblazer in educational design. He has designed and managed more than a billion dollars in educational projects for the firm, he has provided mentorship to many current and future leaders, and he has supported strategic growth as a Shareholder of Huckabee. Notably, Josh played a critical role in the development of Huckabee’s educational research lab, LEx Labs at Baylor University, a facility where clients explore the connection between the learning environment and student engagement. He also opened Huckabee’s Dallas office and has led the team to increase its client base in a rapidly-growing market. Most recently, Josh served as Office Director for the Dallas and Fort Worth offices, leading the development of solid relationships with clients, new business opportunities for the firm, and the growth of internal team members.

Benchmark Harris

As Vice President of Engineering, Ben defines our architectural processes for collaboration with engineering consultants. He has over 20 years of design experience and an uncommon breadth and depth of knowledge; consequently, Facilities and Maintenance Directors love to bring him their toughest challenges. Ben began his career working at the University of Texas at Austin J.J. Pickle Research Center, where he found his love for discovery and innovation. And, for over 15 years, he’s been active in the development of building codes by serving on Boards and Committees of various organizations, often as Chair or Secretary. Ben frequently speaks as a national expert on various engineering topics and has received numerous awards for advancing the profession, including the TMS Paul Haller Award.

Kerri Brady

Kerri focuses on educational planning, educational research, school safety + security and change management. She helps clients shape the learning experience by facilitating in-depth conversations and explorations on vision, curriculum, experience and space. Kerri serves on the board of directors for the Texas School Safety Center as the architect member and plays an important leadership role in the LEx Collaborative, a partnership between Huckabee, ESC Region 12 and Baylor University that focuses on educational research and the built environment’s impact on student success. Most recently, Kerri led the charge to rewrite the School Facility Standards for the State of Texas and co-authored an international book about the role of Career and Technical Education in 21st century learning.

Christopher M. Huckabee

Chris is the Chief Executive Officer of Huckabee, a nationally recognized architecture and engineering firm. He stepped into the role more than 30 years ago, poised to build upon the legacy that his father started in 1967 when Huckabee opened. Under Chris’s leadership, Huckabee experienced incredible growth by focusing on the expansion of services, expertise and impact. Chris built a national network of partners and firms that bring the best in planning and design practices to the communities we serve. He also adopted a culture of MORE for the firm, creating a comprehensive approach to design that extends beyond architecture and engineering services. As “More Than Architects,” Huckabee brings together specialists in planning, interior design, communications, branding, furniture, environmental graphics, research and construction to deliver holistic solutions to meet the evolving needs of our clients. Chris also serves on multiple boards and speaks frequently on topics relevant to education and the A/E industry. Chris was twice appointed to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and recently served a term as the Chairman of the Board of Regents at Texas Tech University, his alma mater.
