Structural Construction Administrator

Currently, we are seeking a talented Structural Construction Administrator to join our team.  The Structural Construction Administrator will provide support for the Structural Engineering Department through efficient and effective processes, while under the direct supervision of a licensed Structural Engineer.


  • Act as resource and liaison between contractors, subcontractors, detailers, and Huckabee staff including construction observers, structural engineers, and architects
  • Assist with identification and resolution of multidiscipline problems of construction and renovation projects, with structural focus, under the supervision of the Structural Professional Engineer
  • Review submittal data including structural shop drawings, structural product data, and Mock-ups
  • Track and answer Requests for Information (RFI)
  • Document and file job related information including correspondence, test reports, shop drawings, and RFI’s
  • Lead preconstruction meetings as required
  • Perform project related site visits as needed


  • Construction industry experience preferably in an A/E firm
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Work as a team member and foster a cooperative work environment
  • Basic, routine, and advanced knowledge of construction drawings, sketches, diagrams, plans, and specifications
  • General knowledge of construction as it applies to concrete, steel, masonry, ICF, and light gage stud construction
  • Read and interpret contract documents including but not limiting to Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing/Architectural/Structural/Kitchen/Technology/Acoustical and how they coincide with each other
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple projects and perform in a fast paced environment
  • General PC knowledge and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Associate degree in construction management or construction technology program preferred
  • Revit knowledge preferred
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred
