Currently, we are accepting resumes for a talented Planner with a minimum of 10 years experience working in the commercial architectural field to join our team. The position will offer the candidate opportunities to grow within the firm and thrive in an innovative, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environment developing well rounded skills.  Educational facility experience is a plus.  At Huckabee, the Planner will collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to develop programming and building space planning for clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and develop planning deliverables
• Perform analysis and review of the building space, equipment needs, allocations, and priorities
• Facilitate community involved planning and design workshops and present outcomes to stakeholders
• Combine input from all parties and work with team to analyze and produce holistic deliverables
• Write educational specifications, design guidelines, and educational adequacy reports
• Develop master and long-range plans
• Critically think through topics and issues to provide comprehensive and custom solutions for clients
• Research educational topics and best practices for projects
• Develop creative new concepts for group exercises, client interactions, and deliverables

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong interpersonal skills – comfortable with clients and ability to lead large group discussions
• Ability to coordinate with teams to develop project strategies in a collaborative work environment
• Licensed architect with 10+ years of experience, preferred
• Experience in public education and bond planning preferred
