Currently, we are accepting resumes for a talented Environmental Graphic Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will work as a key partner with interdisciplinary teams of architects, interior designers, graphic designers, and photographers. The position will offer the candidate opportunities to grow within the firm and thrive in an innovative, schedule driven and highly collaborative environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate design concepts for a campus’ identity for branded environments in physical spaces, graphic design systems, signage and wayfinding
- Assist team members with translating clients expressed needs and ideas into effective communication materials
- Actively listen to client stories and incorporate unique perspectives into brand elements
- Support Environmental Graphics Lead with project scope and scheduling to meet client’s expectations
- Collaborate and work closely with a variety of design teams across multiple markets to ensure design intent is met
- Assist with construction documentation and specification quality assurance from a graphic design perspective
- Vendor and manufacturer administration, and construction administration for a wide range of project sizes
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors or higher degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or similar
- 2-5 years post-graduation relevant work experience required
- Experience with environmental graphic design, print design, and/or digital design
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills and the ability to articulate design rationale to internal teams and clients
- Strong understanding of visual systems, layout design, typography, and illustration skills
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Ability to communicate through multiple formats (email, video conferencing, Microsoft Teams, Google docs, external project management software, etc.)
- Public speaking for professional in-person group presentations
- Knowledge of architectural construction documents, elevations, plans, and shop drawings preferred
- Maintain working knowledge of environmental graphic materials and products
- Knowledge of print and fabrication/construction production
- Signage and wayfinding experience a plus
- Revit software skills a plus
