Huckabee is seeking applicants for a Benefit and Compliance Administrator to join our team. This position will support the Human Resources team by overseeing competitive employee benefit programs and implementing best practices for multi-state regulatory compliance.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits
  • Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in payroll system for payroll deduction
  • Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintain statistical data relative to premiums, claims and costs
  • Completes records, reporting, and other documentation required by federal, state, and provider rules, regulations, and policies
  • Serve as primary point of contact for annual audits and compliance testing
  • Ensures the organizations and plans compliance with the applicable provisions of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA
  • Plans, completes, and files required EEO and/or affirmative action reports and documentation with government agencies
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in human resource management or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • In-depth knowledge of employee benefit programs and best practices with 4 to 6 years of experience
  • Human resources certification preferred: SHRM-CP, SHRM- SCP, PHR, or PHRca
  • Experience with benefit and compliance administration in multi-state organizations
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
