Architectural Planner Intern

Currently, we are accepting resumes for a talented Architectural Planner Intern to join our team. The position will offer the candidate opportunities to grow within the firm and thrive in an innovative, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environment developing well rounded skills.  Educational facility experience is a plus.  At Huckabee, the Architectural Planner Intern will collaborate with the Planner and project teams to assist with the development of programming and building space planning for clients.


  • Assist the Planner with long range planning for clients
  • Prepare district capacity analysis
  • Compile historical data from the district into spreadsheets
  • Review and update district demographic reports and enrollment numbers for future capacity
  • Incorporate revisions for educational specifications and technical specifications
  • Review floorplans and technical specifications for reference during planning exercises
  • Organize notes from planning charrette sessions
  • Assist Planner with special projects and research as needed


  • Minimum of two years of college or business school
  • 5+ years of administrative assistant experience in a professional services environment
  • Advanced MSOffice skills required and knowledge of general administrative protocols
  • Bluebeam, Graphic Design, and Adobe InDesign experience preferred
  • Experience in architecture or educational facilities is a plus
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Exhibit a can-do attitude and remain positive in a fast paced environment
