Currently we are seeking applicants for a Controller, who will provide support to the Director of Finance at Huckabee.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for monthly financial statement package, including variance explanations
  • Ensure financials are prepared in accordance with accounting principles: review JE’s, account reconciliation, income statement
  • Create and maintain accounting process documentation
  • Prepare annual audit documentation and support
  • Prepare ad hoc accounting reports as requested
  • Process weekly payables, print checks and upload ACH files, positive pay
  • Perform expense report review, posting, and payment processing
  • Perform credit card maintenance – process review and approval of new cards
  • Maintain new item creation in ERP as necessary
  • Maintain all service contracts and ensure appropriate accruals as necessary
  • Maintain contribution and donation requests and ledgers

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Finance or Accounting
  • Active CPA license required
  • 10+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Proven ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task by supporting multiple teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to achieve results through influence, negotiation, and change management
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proven personnel management and leadership skills
  • High degree of professionalism
  • Highly proficient in MS Office, including advanced Excel skills
  • SQL and Deltek experience a plus
  • Excellent communication skills

Accounting Manager

Currently we are seeking applicants for an Accounting Manager, who will provide support to the Controller of financial operations at Huckabee.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform month end close
  • Prepare routine journal entries as well as adjusting entries when needed (ensuring proper support)
  • Record all cash receipts and perform bank reconciliation, investigate and resolve outstanding items
  • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and maintain appropriate support, investigate and resolve reconciling items
  • Prepare and enter intercompany entries
  • Maintain fixed asset log
  • Prepare preliminary financial statements with variance analysis
  • Prepare intercompany billings
  • Reviewing pending payables
  • Assist with accounting process documentation
  • Responsible for MOREgroup activities:
    • Taxes and extensions
    • Allocation of insurance
    • Allocation of debt payments
    • Allocation of intercompany expenses

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Finance or Accounting
  • 7+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Proven ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Highly proficient in MS Office, including advanced Excel skills
  • SQL and Deltek experience a plus

Client Invoice Specialist

Currently we are seeking applicants for a Client Invoice Specialist, who will provide support to the Client Invoicing Manager of financial operations at Huckabee.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete client invoicing process – from creation of invoice through distribution to client, post in accounting system (ERP)
    • Including AP Consultant invoices data entry – verify consultant invoice is billed according to contract, confirm correct general ledger account codes are used
    • Investigate and resolve challenges associated with processing of consultant accounts payable invoices
    • Maintain project budget and update fee changes
  • Track and process monthly client invoices
  • Attend (virtual) weekly office meetings
  • Prepare/create ad hoc project reporting as necessary
  • Maintain project records: perform project and opportunity review, inactivations and final processes on projects
  • Maintain relationship with client finance contact, resolve issues when needed
  • Support internal clients such as Principals and Office Directors with regards to client invoicing and consultant payables
  • Communicate with Principals and Office Directors for project status

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with Major in Accounting, Finance, or General Business
  • 3+ years of Accounting or Finance experience
  • Ability to multi-task by supporting multiple teams in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Customer-Service oriented
  • High degree of professionalism and strong people skills
  • Excellent team player
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Experience using computerized accounting systems; knowledge of accounting system related to professional services (Deltek), a plus
