RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the quality assurance process on projects
  • Perform thorough reviews to ensure projects meet technical quality standards
  • Carefully monitor the use of new materials and construction methods for compliance with best practices and standards
  • Lead document review meetings with project teams to ensure understanding of corrections needed
  • Serve as a technical resource to staff in all phases of a project
  • Serve as a mentor to the Project Architect/Project Leader, investing in technical development
  • Maintain proficiency regarding building materials, construction methods, costs, codes, and regulatory requirements
  • Assist in the development of evloving best practice standards based on continuing education and lessons learned in construction
  • Implement and teach standards and evolving best practices

REQUIREMENTS

  • Active architectural licensure required
  • Experience in a quality control efforts in an architectural firm required
  • Experience as a mentor and educator to architectural staff required
  • Institutional facilities experience required; educational facilities experience preferred
  • Task driven and focused with high attention to detail
  • Proficient in Bluebeam

This individual will be responsible for leading the interview presentation, enhancing and growing relationships with clients, and supporting clients during public meetings. This leadership role will be responsible for project team motivation, recognition and morale. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Represent Huckabee and maintain client relationships
  • Act as primary liaison between Huckabee team and client/owner
  • Serve as leader to project team and consultants
  • Responsible for project success and oversight of scope, schedule and budget
  • Provide solutions for projects and team challenges
  • Define program requirements and establish project parameters based on client needs

  • Experience in all phases of project management and design, including long-term planning and budget management
  • Knowledge of building materials, construction methods, costs and code applicable to the design process
  • Knowledge of current trends and areas of future growth within industry
  • Experience in public speaking
  • Ability to successfully manage client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination
  • Evaluate design alternatives based on site and code requirements
  • Experience in the marketing process, client interviews and relationship building
