In 2005, the Grapevine-Colleyville community passed a $107.9 million bond in order to make improvements at all 30 school district facilities, including minor improvements to the existing administration building. Due to significant savings throughout the bond program, the District was able to complete a substantial remodel and expansion of the administration building with the savings.

The existing facility was inefficient with department offices scattered throughout the building. The new administration layout allows each department to have a central location and work together more efficiently.

The administration building houses offices for Human Resources, Operations, Curriculum & Instruction, Athletic Director and the Superintendent. Throughout the building are several public and private meeting/conference rooms and a large meeting room for District Board of Trustee meetings.

The remodel included a new roof, HVAC upgrades, technology upgrades and an expansion to house several additional staff offices and main entrance reception lobby.

The entire bond program was completed one year ahead of schedule, $3 million under budget and with a 30 percent smaller tax increase than originally proposed. This was accomplished during some of the greatest inflationary times in the Texas school construction market following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
