Graphic Designer

Currently, we are seeking a talented individual for the role of Graphic Designer. The position will work directly with the Vice President of Communications and the firm’s Project Managers on the creative development and design of internal and external communications projects, architectural design presentations and website designs. 

 

Requirements:   

  • Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Advertising or Communications
  • Must be self-motivated, organized and extremely detail-oriented 
  • Expertise in layout, graphic design and website design

  • Expert knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Muse

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and manage several projects simultaneously

Architectural Intern

Technology Design Engineer

Currently, we are seeking a talented Technology Design Engineer to join our team. The Technology Design Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of the client’s project including developing all floor plans and details in AutoCAD or Revit, developing the specifications for communications cabling, intercom systems, local sound systems, classroom AV and or security systems such as intrusion, access control and surveillance systems design. The designer will also be responsible for reviewing contractor submittals, answering RFI’s and performing and documenting on site reviews to ensure contractor compliance with the contract documents.  

 

Qualifications: 

  • 5 years’ experience in various low voltage systems design, preferably in the K-12 or higher education markets.
  • Strong working proficiency in AutoCAD 2011 or greater. Revit experience is not required but preferred.  
  • Project Management experience is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills in both verbal and written formats. 

 

Preferred experience and education include:

  • BICSI certified RCDD or BICSI certified ESS or equivalent security industry design certifications.

Security Consultant

Currently, we are seeking a highly qualified Security Consultant to join our team. The Security Consultant will be responsible for all aspects of the client’s security projects including performing security and safety assessments, developing physical security solutions, creating specifications and design documents for bidding, reviewing contractor submittals and performing quality control audits of installed security systems. The consultant will also advise our architectural team in employing safety and security related elements into the building design.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 5 years design experience with access control, video surveillance and intrusion alarm systems.
  • Additional experience in the performance of risk / threat assessments, safety and security assessments and general physical security or crime prevention consulting is preferred.

 

Preferred experience and education include:

  • Background or similar education in Crime Prevention, Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design or other professional certifications from national organizations (ASIS PSP, BICSI ESS, etc.)
  • Experience in K-12 school safety and security is desirable.

Structural Project Engineer

Currently, we are seeking a talented Structural Project Engineer (PE or EIT) to join our team. The Structural Project Engineer will be responsible for structural engineering analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, light-gage and wood structures and will participate in production of structural contract drawings, primarily using Revit.

 

Job Duties Include:

  • If the candidate is an EIT, all work would be performed under the direct supervision of one or more Professional Engineers licensed in Texas
  • Perform structural building analysis and design in compliance with codes based on geotechnical reports
  • Produce 3D structural Revit models integrated with architectural Revit models
  • Draw plans and details in Revit format, with some work in AutoCAD
  • Coordinate drawings with architectural and Civil/MEP consultant drawings
  • Prepare answers to contractor requests for information (RFI’s) and markup shop drawings
  • Perform project site visits 
  • If needed, may occasionally learn and perform civil engineering and/or architectural tasks under the supervision of in-house professionals

 

Qualifications:

The position requires the ability to work closely with an integrated, multi-discipline team under tight deadlines and communicate clearly (both in writing and verbally), working overtime when requested.

 

Required experience and education include: 

  • Must have a Bachelors of Science in Civil and/or Structural Engineering with coursework in the following:
  1. Mechanics of Materials
  2. Structural Analysis
  3. Concrete Design
  4. Steel Design
  • Must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam
  • A minimum of three (3) years of work experience in structural engineering
